Artist | Impressionism in wool
I create landscape paintings out of wool (needle-felting) translating natural forms into tactile compositions that evoke both the visual beauty and emotional resonance of the land around me. Each piece is a meditation on the fleeting moments I encounter, preserving the essence of a specific time or place.
I currently create from my home studio in Toronto, Canada, but I have a deep connection to rural Ontario, where I was born. My mother, an artist and quilter, often took me into the countryside to sketch what we saw.
I remember visits to the old Dunlop Observatory, gazing at the sky — a moment that likely planted the seed for my lifelong fascination with clouds and skies. Through her, I was introduced to a broader artistic world, especially textiles, which sparked a growing love for art that remains to this day.
