Elephant in the Room Ceramics
Illustrated porcelain ware
My name is Candida Lyons and I am the artist behind Elephant in the Room Ceramics. I graduated with a fine arts and art education degree from UW-Milwaukee, WI. After graduating, I taught art to elementary and middle school students for 28 years.
While teaching, I maintained a consistent personal art practice. Recently, I have become a full time artist and opened Elephant in the Room Ceramics. I screen print my original drawings onto English porcelain to create functional pottery. My drawings are symbols of the vivid, expansive inner worlds that are part of the human experience. I hope to create images that communicate beyond what words can convey.
