The Jobs of Yesteryear delves into the history of the worker and tells the stories of occupations that people have held throughout time. Each worker in the paintings is created using hand-torn bits of kraft paper, a process that sets them apart from their surroundings and makes them the focal point. The workers are born from my own hands, a tribute to the manual nature of work in the past. My mission is to take a contemporary look into the past and reimagine the stories I find.
