Twenty5K is the creative studio of artist Tom Eslinger. Tom combines his experience as a giant of international advertising with his pop sensibilities to create pieces that engage, entertain and enthrall his collectors. Following a rockstar career as Global Digital Creative Director for Saatchi & Saatchi as well as Burson Marsteller and five-time Cannes Lions Jurist (twice as Jury President), Tom creates one-of-a-kind artworks combining his life-long obsessions with music, typography and stickers. The pieces are created from vintage album jackets, most often reclaimed from estate sales or rummages sales (or basement giveaways). Tom then transfers his sketched ideas via his Adobe Illustrator and Remarkable through a laser-cutter and assembles the sometimes 100s of pieces with a mix of commercial stickers custom stickers he creates specifically for the piece or a commission. All of Tom's work take their inspiration from music lyrics, sayings or poetry reflecting his interest and expertise in typography into his visual art. Tom's advertising and typographical work can be found in the Permanent Design Collection of New York's MOMA as well as the Smithsonian's Cooper-Hewitt Collection. Tom studied at the Minneapolis College of Art & Design (MCAD) and counts Charles Spencer Anderson, David Carson and Scott Makela as his mentors and great influences. Tom maintains residences in Chicago and New York City. He is currently a Consulting Creative Director and a Professor of Communications at Columbia College Chicago.
