TJ Indigo Clothing Co. is a one-of-a-kind clothing brand that blends modern comfort with timeless quality and style. Founded in 2015 in Toronto, we create high-end, eco-friendly fashion using premium natural and often organic fabrics, locally cut, sewn, and dyed with plant-based indigo, also known as ‘living blue.’
Our designs feature shibori, a centuries-old Japanese dyeing technique that involves folding, binding, or compressing cloth to create intricate patterns. Each piece is hand-dyed in our studio, resulting in organically unique garments that carry the soul of traditional craft. Natural indigo is valued for its distinctive blue color, which ranges from light to deep blue depending on the number of dips in the dye vat. True indigo is prized for its ability to fade gracefully over time, creating a beautiful, vintage look.
