My work is an exploration of liminal space, nonduality, and the intersection of perceived opposites: form/formless, structure/fluidity, shadow/light, joy/grief. The spaces in between. Guided by the wisdom of our ancestors, I handcraft quality pieces for body + home with hand-dyes silk, linen, cotton, and other natural fibers. Sculpted linen 3-D paintings use snow, ice, shibori and dye reduction techniques, often painting up to 15 layers for added texture and depth. I am primarily self-taught, Chicago-born and Denver-based. I am also a Yoga therapist and meditation teacher, and I live with a neurodevelopmental condition -- all which profoundly inform my work.
