Lori Fowler is an artist from Minneapolis, MN. She works primarily in encaustic (an ancient medium that involves painting with molten wax and fusing with a torch). Her vibrant and highly textured paintings capture fleeting moments of beauty in nature.
Lori’s art journey began in high school, which had a stellar art department. In college, Lori earned a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and a Master’s in Child Development. This led her into the field of early childhood education and away from art all together. It was not until 20+ years and four kids later when she would rekindle her passion for fine arts and begin a consistent creative practice.
Lori’s encaustic paintings have been accepted in numerous juried shows within the Twin Cities and have won several exhibition awards. Her art has been displayed at the Minneapolis International Airport, Minnesota Zoo and the Minnesota State Fair. Lori Fowler is represented by Edgewood Orchard Galleries in Door County Wisconsin.
