Abstract acrylic paintings on canvas
My contemporary abstract paintings are inspired by the open road — by the sense of exploration and awakening that is felt when we drive away from our usual routines and settled understandings and enter new territory.
I use layered color schemes, gestural brushstrokes and otherworldly compositions to evoke a sense of exploration or new views. Often there is a sense of yet-to-be explored space in my paintings — a corner of the world yet to be discovered. I hope my work prompts the viewer to consider their own world in a new palette — to see beyond the expected, to take new paths, consider new understandings, and embrace a sense of wonder and new views — Enjoy!
