After years of creating with different art forms such as watercolor, acrylic, chalk and pencil, I found fluid acrylic to fulfill my creative spark. Acrylic fluid art is an abstract impressionistic art form in which paints are made more fluid using various mediums and then manipulated on the canvas using methods such as compressed air, palette knives or by hand. Each piece is original and cannot be replicated, this individuality intrigues me. I like to challenge myself with different textures, pouring mediums and techniques. Hand painting on top of the dried pour has been my latest challenge to make pieces more interesting as well as collaborating with other artists. I have shipped pieces all over the US as well as Europe, Australia, Canada and Mexico.

I look forward to every day I am able to paint. It makes my heart happy.

In South Dakota, we are blessed to have an abundance of deer, both east and west of the Missouri River. Whitetails are far and away North America’s most popular big game species, so it’s no surprise they’re popular subjects in paintings. Their presence evokes a longing for the untamed beauty of nature and serves as a reminder of the importance of preserving the natural environment. Their serene nature and delicate movements inspire feelings of tranquility and peace. This piece started with the fluid acrylic river meandering through from corner to corner. Hand painting was added to improve the flow and design. My collaborator added the deer by using air brush work and hand painting. The combination of our styles makes for unique artwork.
