Kathleen Andersen Art

I create colorful, functional, hand-blown glass. Each piece is individually crafted with use and enjoyment in mind, using traditional glass blowing techniques. My focus is on creating goods to replace common household items with something handmade and timeless, such as drinking glasses, vases, cruets, and soap bottles. In addition to my use of color and form, on specific pieces I will etch designs of flowers and animals, combining my back ground of glass blowing and drawing. In a time when everything is moving faster and faster, I work deliberately to create handmade art glass that will last.
