My journey in glassmaking began in 2005, when I took my first class at Chicago Hot Glass. Instantly mesmerized but the material but still a teenager and unable to afford regular classes, I began hanging out as often as I could just to watch the glass artists work. Eventually, someone overslept their alarm and I was quickly trained up and put to work making ornament hooks!

Over the last 20+ years, I’ve traveled the world to expand my skills and seek inspiration. In 2010, I moved to Adelaide, South Australia to train at the JamFactory where we mass produced, by hand, thousands of olive oil bottles, lighting and custom trophies. Then in 2013, I returned to the U.S. to work at the Pittsburgh Glass Center and then for the Corning Museum of Glass, spending summers at Pilchuck Glass School as a Pole Turner and Teaching Assistant. In 2017, I began building a public access glass studio in Austin, Texas — Ghost Pepper Glass — where I continue to create my own work, teach classes, create jobs for other emerging glassmakers and expand access to glassmaking in central texas.
