Maggie Leininger launched Considered Cloth in 2017 to produce limited-edition woven goods for the home and body using locally sourced, eco-friendly materials. With years of experience as a production weaver for high-end designers and as an educator teaching weaving, surface design, and other textile processes at Arizona State University and the University of Louisville, Maggie sought to create a studio that could function as both a teaching and learning lab as well as a destination for quality materials. Considered Cloth focuses on building a community of textile enthusiasts passionate about supporting the production of high-quality textiles that will last generations. Embracing the philosophy of the slow movement, Considered Cloth offers an alternative space where one can delve into the history and process of textile production by taking a workshop, sharing and exchanging knowledge at one of our pop-up events, and finding locally sourced yarns grown and milled in the U.S. We also offer a curated collection of unique yarns for weavers and knitters, weaving patterns and kits, and weaving equipment.
