Amy Song Ceramics
Functional, wood-fired pottery
Amy Song Ceramics creates pottery to elevate the joys of food and drink. Her work is created on the wheel, altered by hand, and fired with wood. Using wood as the fuel source gives the pottery its earthy palate and variation. The path of flame leaves its mark on every piece.
Originally from Lisle, Amy lives in Plainfield, IL. She fell in love with flash and ash (wood firing pots) at Waubonsee Community College. She founded River Song Pottery in 2018. The love and labor of firing a wood kiln is shared by a small community of potters in the area.
