This is my personal maxim. Art that catches our eye, evoking an emotion – a reaction – a pull – is art that moves us. This is what I hope to elicit with my paintings.
I was born in Liberia, West Africa, to Lebanese parents. My upbringing in both countries brought me exposure to multicultural communities that helped form my world outlook. I was blessed these experiences found their way into my art. I served as a maritime captain, commanding a research vessel for several years . That experience added exciting dimensions to my paintings, as I saw my work take a pivot into different styles. I have been painting with oils for over 30 years, and new experiences and life challenges often bring newness and exploration to my canvas. I hope my art finds your eye, and brings you the joy of discovery.
