Portraits of musicians
I’m a portrait artist who paints rock ’n’ roll. My work is all about the musicians who have shaped the soundtrack of our lives — the icons, the outlaws, the poets, the legends. I paint with acrylics and ink, using bold brushstrokes, vibrant color, and a little bit of edge to capture the energy, attitude, and soul behind the music. My style lives somewhere between realism and abstraction, where feeling comes first.
My art has been featured in the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame and exhibited in numerous galleries around the country. It’s an incredible honor to have my work included in a place that celebrates the very music that inspires me every day.
My creative path has been anything but linear. For more than three decades, I worked as a professional hair and makeup artist in cities across the country, including New York, Boston, Chicago, Dallas, and Los Angeles. That career in beauty, color, and storytelling continues to influence the way I see the world — and the way I paint.
I originally come from Southern California and gradually moved east. Now I live in the Midwest with my husband, our two dogs, and our son who’s in college. I draw inspiration from many places — music, nature, good food, beloved animals, and the everyday moments that make life interesting.
In addition to my musician portraits, I’ve expanded my creative world to include a line of greeting cards featuring my original pet portraits. I also love painting food in acrylics and inks — fresh, colorful, and a little playful — and recently began exploring delicate line drawings of flowers in watercolor.
I paint to stay curious and connected. Every day in the studio is a chance to play, to express gratitude, and to find meaning in the ordinary.
Thank you for supporting original art.
