We are Nury and Patricia (mother-daughter), owners at Naturalis Handcrafted Soaps. Naturalis is probably best known for its unique Sea Sponge Soap. By embedding natural sea sponges - as extracted from Gulf of Mexico in SW Florida and Greece- in the core of our soaps, we are a providing a multi-functional experience. Not only does the sponge act as an exfoliating agent but also helps with cleansing your skin. Sponges help create a luxurious lather, are softly textured, and are suitable for the most sensitive skin types Soap making began as a hobby in 2016 only for personal use for our family. When my daughter was suffering from a bad case of eczema and dermatitis at the young age of four, my mother Nury desperately wanted to help her. We were tired of not seeing results after trying the different prescribed lotions and soaps that were full of chemicals. The condition always came back so Nury used her visionary talent pulling from an old recipe and created a unique natural healthy soap that could help her granddaughters condition. This is when we realized the healing purpose and power of Nury's soap recipes. This profound experience helped me to realize we had something of extreme value which inspired us to experiment with variations and began gifting soaps to some friends and family. We quickly received positive responses followed by strong recommendations by all to extend these products to the public and to form a business. After pilot testing these products at various arts & crafts markets and fairs, we decided to formally launch a handcrafted soap business. And in December 2017, Naturalis Handcrafted Soaps was officially born. Today, Naturalis provides a variety of handcrafted soaps and other skincare products at local farmers markets Together, we work hand in hand to help our business to grow and evolve.
