My contemporary abstract paintings are inspired by the open road - by the sense of exploration and awakening that is felt when we drive away from our usual routines and settled understandings and enter new territory. I take my inspiration from road trip adventures to the worlds many corners and the creative spirit in people Ive met along the way. I often use vibrant color schemes, varied brushstrokes and otherworldly compositions to evoke a sense of exploration or communicate a new view. Often there is a sense of yet unexplored space in my paintings - a corner of the world yet to be discovered. I hope my work prompts the viewer to consider their own world in a new palette - to see beyond the expected, to take new paths, consider new understandings, and embrace a sense of wonder and new views - Enjoy!
