Handknit colorful cozy winter accessories
I closed my dance studio during the pandemic and turned to knitting as a creative outlet to process a difficult transition in my life.
I now design and hand-knit versatile, seasonal accessories, working with small-batch natural fibers such as wool, alpaca, silk and cotton. The unique colors, patterns and textures of each item make them unique statement pieces.
I see knitting as straddling the past and the present, attempting to reconcile one with the other through a reinterpretation of tradition.
I strive to make something that is an expression, in color and pattern, of what it feels like to reinvent oneself, one stitch at a time.
