Katia is a Russian born artist who received her MFA in painting and fashion design in Moscow. She came to Alaska in 1994, fell in love with the majestic scenery of the state, and spent two years studying silk painting and as well as painting landscapes. Katia continued her studies at Xavier University, receiving her MBA degree in Marketing, and worked several years for advertising agencies as an art director, creating marketing materials for major corporations. Now she is the owner of Kenai Art studio that offers classes to children and adults. Katia has been practicing her art for many years. She has participated in multiple juried art exhibits and she has numerous art works in private collections. Katia resides in Mason, Ohio with her family.
