Harriet's Hides

  • Booth 2041
Who would've thought the cowhide bag that I bought in 2010 would completely change my world. It didn't matter where I went, people stopped and asked where I bought it. My creative juices started flowing and I was determined to make cowhide purses. There was one problem: I didn't know how to make them! After months of leatherwork lessons, my first tote bag was complete. Before long I had designed an entire line of purses and accessories using gorgeous hair-on-hide which sold right off of my arm. Hearing my customers tell me, I love my bag! inspires me to sew until wee hours of the night. Each time that I stamp my signature red rose onto a finished Harriets Hides purse, I honor the memory of my mother, Harriet. It's at that moment when I feel her winking at me as though shes saying, Keep on making purses, Sheryl Anne! I dont know how you do it!
