Genie Kim, a graduate of Hongik University with a BFA in Seoul Korea, is an accomplished artist specializing in painting and ceramics. Her distinctive work frequently explores themes of childhood memories, animals, Motherhood and has garnered recognition at exhibitions and fairs across Canada and South Korea. She has held solo exhibitions including Floating Through Memory at Galerie lOnyx, Mother Tree - Healing Flowers at Carnegie Gallery, and Mother Tree at Van Navee Gallery. Genie has participated in group exhibitions such as the Carnegie Craft Biennial, Han, Soom, Gyeol at Papermill Gallery, and Good Fans of Korean Art Fair at Arta Gallery etc. Her work has also been showcased in two major art shows in Korea, Seoul Art Show, and BAMA Show in Busan. She is a consistent participant in art fairs like The Artist Project, One of a Kind Show, and Toronto Outdoor Art Fair. Her ceramic sculpture was notably acquired by Tiana Koffler, the daughter of the Toronto Outdoor Art Fair's founder. Genie's work continues to reflect her deep connection with her craft and artistic vision.
