Frank Morreale
Hand painted resuscitated vessels
Chicago, Illinois
In 1993 I bought my first piece of art from Frank Morreale. It was a miniature chair made from the top of a champagne bottle. The amazing craftsmanship, beauty and design captured my heart. For the next 10 years my friendship, collection and love for Frank’s work only grew. When Frank would show a drawing he passionately described the meanings of the characters and objects that grew from the paper. Frank often explained that he would not set out to draw something but that the creatures, images, colors and masterful lines came right through him. In 2004 Frank and I married, for the 20 years that followed we traveled the world often for my business NeumanTree which offered Frank additional inspiration to create hundreds of works of art. Respecting and sharing his love for each drawing and object as if it were his child, I committed to hoarding Frank’s work since it broke his heart to part with anything, we seldom sold even a piece. Sadly, Frank passed away this January. My goal is to find homes for Frank’s children by selling them in both his memory and respect for the work itself.
