Hillary Leben is a Chicago-based artist and animator whose background in motion graphics and large-scale projection design has shaped her approach to storytelling and character. After years of creating work for orchestras and live performances, she began transitioning into 2D illustration, bringing that same narrative sensibility into custom pet portraits. Her work celebrates the absurdity of animal behavior — the expressions, habits, and small moments that make pets endlessly funny and deeply loved — with the goal of making people laugh and recognize their own companions in the art.
