I’m Simone Cabral Vilaca, the artist behind By Soul & Hands.
I make contemporary jewelry and accessories from overlooked materials.
My work begins with one question: what if we looked again?
Reclaimed aluminum coffee pods are my signature material. I also work with plastic, leather, and fabric.
To create my designs, I cut, fold, emboss and layer each design by hand, which gives every piece both structural strength and visual depth. I’m involved in every step, from the first idea to the finished piece.
My designs are inspired by nature, geometry and personal expression.
Each piece is made one at a time, by hand, so no two are ever exactly alike.
What moves me most is the moment perception shifts, when something once dismissed becomes something admired. That change isn’t only physical. It’s emotional, and it’s cultural. It asks us to rethink where beauty and value really live.
When people wear my work, they wear their values, express their individuality and make a conscious choice.
Jewelry, for me, is more than adornment. It makes a statement, shows attitude and invites us to look again.
