Angie Thieszen currently lives in Millersburg, Indiana. She has come from a family line of artistic talents and minored in art at Bluffton College (now Bluffton University) in Bluffton, Ohio. She has been a hobby artist most of her life, but her wood stain art has taken her to a professional level. It is a medium that combines much of her creative environment growing up with the God-given talents she possesses. Angie enjoys bringing realistic details to life by hand-drawing each piece on wood. She then stains each drawing with wood stain using q-tips and/or cloths on her fingertips. Finally each piece is clear-coated for protection and durability. The high contrast look of the black stain on the sepia tone of the natural wood creates a soft yet stunning statement piece ready to match any space. Angie has chosen to only create one-of-a-kind originals with no prints to increase the value of her work for each individual customer. Angie's accolades continue to increase and include: -3 Best in 2D Art awards in the Chicago area ('22-'23) - 7 Outstanding Achievement awards awards in the Chicago area ('22-'23) -Best in Show in Nappanee Friday Fest, Indiana (2022) -1st Prize in Drawing in Colors of Community Art Show, Grand Rapids, MI (2022) -Artist of the Month for Mar. She enjoys nature, deep conversations, animals, encouraging others and an occasion show about treasure or ghost hunting. She believes in being authentic and transparent to help others know they are not alone on this journey through life. It is all because of Jesus Christ she is where she is today...grateful for His grace and love.
