You apply to the show through our website at oneofakindshowchicago.com. You will be asked to answer several questions and to submit 5 images (3 images of your work, 1 image of a booth/presentation/display, and 1 image of your studio). There is a $35 fee to apply.
If the deadline has passed, the website will post the most updated information about available space. In the past couple of years, the show has filled up by the jury deadline and a healthy wait-list is created during the selection process. However, if we have availability in certain categories it will be posted on the website. Also, feel free to email khogan@mmart.com if you are unsure and/or want to be put on our email list for deadline reminders.
If you do not have a photo/image of a display/presentation/booth, it is recommended that you set one up in a clean, open space and photograph it. If this is not possible, you may submit a computerized layout of your display or a sketch of your display. Keep in mind that presentation is an important factor in the jury selection.
If you create work that includes jewelry, you must apply under jewelry. If you create work in other categories, it is recommended that you apply in the category that makes up the greatest amount of your work. If your work is balanced between a number mediums and categories, applying under the mixed media category is the best choice.
You may create multiples of your own work as long as it meets the acceptance criteria listed above.
Fair Trade groups/organizations will not be accepted into the show at this time.
If you are on the wait-list, you will be notified as soon as a booth becomes available. This could be as late as one month prior to the show.
