One of a Kind Holiday Recipes
11 . 21 . 2016
The holidays are all about family, friends and of course great food! We all have our favorite foods to cook, bake and eat during the holidays and we're thrilled to share some of ours. Enjoy!
Erin's Butternut Squash and Corn Chowder
This is my favorite dish to make in the winter. It feels indulgent, comforting and allows me to use my favorite kitchen tool- the immersion blender. I make this soup with chicken broth and bacon but you can always use vegetable stock and sauté some mushrooms if you are vegetarian.

Aida's Stuffed Peppers and Zucchinis
This is my go-to recipe for a healthy, hearty lunch/dinner. It’s a gorgeous looking and tasting dish for holiday entertaining!

Kathleen's Delish Banana Bread with Chocolate Chips
My boys ask for this banana bread every single morning for breakfast and refuse to accept a store bought version (I’ve tried). They love making it with me and usually end up eating more chocolate chips than end up in the banana bread. It wasn’t until I started baking with my own kids that I began to truly appreciate homemade food. There is just something so satisfying about knowing exactly what goes into it and tweaking it every now and then to come up with something new. Pair this bread, warm from the oven, with a hot cup of coffee to enjoy it at its best.

A strata (egg/cheese/bread casserole) is the perfect dish for Christmas morning. The beauty of it is that you can (and should) prepare it the night before. That allows the egg mixture to soak into the bread. All you need to do that hectic next morning is pop in the oven! This strata, with its red peppers and green onions, looks as good as it tastes. Can’t take credit for creating this recipe… but can for sharing it!
