Get to Know... Rebekah Vinyard

03 . 20 . 2019

Austin-based jewelry artist Rebekah Vinyard is inspired by architecture, simple geometric shapes and ancient relics and symbols. Her pieces always manage to make a statement while remaining effortlessly wearable.

One of a Kind: We are so happy you are making your debut at the Spring show. What are you bringing for our shoppers?

Rebekah: I'll be bringing my whole line including my newest collection called Illusion. These new pieces keep with my signature geometric style but branch out a bit in dimension and unique wearability.

One of a Kind: When and why did you decide to become an artist?

Rebekah: I think I've always been an artist, though for most of my life, I didn't feel confident enough to call myself one. I've been making and designing jewelry for over ten years but about three years ago I made the plunge and became a full time artist.

One of a Kind: What or who inspires you/your work?

Rebekah: I'm inspired by ancient relics and symbols, geometric architecture and mostly people. I'm lucky enough to live in Austin, TX which is full of artists and makers and creative, inspiring people everywhere you go.

Rebekah's designs are dreamt up and brought to life in her Austin, TX studio.

One of a Kind: What is your favorite part of doing what you do?

Rebekah: I love creating. The satisfaction that comes from seeing an idea come to life and actually look good is incredible. I also LOVE seeing my designs out in the world when I least expect it.

One of a Kind: Have you ever made anything that you couldn't part with?

Rebekah: There have been a few pieces that were hard to let go of but I feel like I'm always changing and so is my style and sense of design... so I can usually let go after a little while.

Meet Rebekah in person this April!
