OOAK: Tell us about your work.
Inbar: I am a textile designer by profession and by heart. I take all my inspiration from ancient textile patterns and from the work of women in ancient times. My first collection was entirely crocheted by hand out of silver threads. Then I started drawing crochet patterns with a fountain pen and transformed them into photo-etched metals.
OOAK: How did you get started?
Inbar: When I was 12 years old my grandmother taught me how to sew. "A girl with golden hands will never be left without bread on the table," she said. I started with hair rubber bands, then moved on to pants and dresses which eventually led to my portfolio for the Shenkar University of Fashion in Israel. I started crocheting jewelry with patterns from an old German knitting book from 1929.
OOAK : If you weren't an artist what would you be.
Inbar: An artist--there is no other option for me!
OOAK: What makes you happy?
Inbar: Art and kisses from my little daughter.
OOAK: What superpower would you want to have and why?
Inbar: I wish I could touch people's hearts to make them happy.
