I am the master craftsman of Roots & Jones. A company I started in KY with my grandfather as a way to get back to my roots and learn his craft of fine pen making. We specialize in handcrafted storytelling where we take reclaimed wood that has meaning and turn it into luxury writing instruments.

Bourbon in Kentucky is a huge part of the culture. Knowing this, we always wanted to explore repurposing the barrels into pens. These pens are unlike any we have ever made. When turning them the wood shop gets filled with the fragrance of bourbon. Its almost like we are in the distillery! Our Bourbon Barrel pens have the actual char section of the barrel in the pen.
