Abstract Lord Ganeshas and landscapes
Indian born, based in Chicago, I have traveled extensively and lived in various parts of the world. With a background in advertising, website design and print media, I have continued to keep in touch with my creative side and enjoy working with oils, inks, and acrylics!
Drawing inspiration from my various travels, I enjoy creating abstract landscapes. Be it the European countryside, the Indian continent, South American waterfalls, Japanese villages, pastures of New Zealand, or farmlands in Iowa— I am fascinated with landscapes and the subsequent influences of light on vast open lands and water bodies. Much of my work depicts those colors and hues, which are mostly vibrant, but also offer a sense of peace and tranquility.
Most recently, I have been creating ethereal images of Lord Ganesha, the Hindu God of new beginnings, depicting His emergence from a plethora of fiery reds, greens and gold! My inspiration from landscapes abound here and I adopt backgrounds in the far distance, to have Lord Ganesha in the forefront of my creations!
