Marla Duran Design

After moving back to PA (go PA!) in 1982, I started designing and making clothing. My first opportunity was winning an award to show my hand made clothes in the Allentown Art Museum in 1983. Another important opportunity was designing and producing a line of children's wear for Reebok Apparel in 1986. I launched my line of limited edition and one of a kind women's clothes in 1989. I began cultivating a following of clients including galleries, boutiques, and Nordstroms. I showed my work at fine craft shows, and I opened my own store in 2001, which is also my design studio. For over 16 years, I have looked look forward to showing my work for the Chicago One of a Kind clients. The attendees are enthusiastic and supportive. I am continuing to create new work and maintain a warm relationship with clients through the pandemic.
