Abdoulaye Conde Art

Abdoulaye Conde is a self-taught visual artist and muralist born in Guinea, West Africa and now based in Chicago since Dec 2022. Abdoulaye had worked as a professional artist in Guinea since 2016 - his murals and original paintings can be seen decorating many corners of Conakry, the capital city of Guinea. Some of his notable work includes a collaboration with the German Embassy, exhibition at the Centre Culturel Franco-Guinen, and shows at numerous restaurants and hotels. Since arriving in the USA, Abdoulaye participated in ArtPrize in Grand Rapids, Michigan, where he won the First Place Public Vote Grand Prize for his submission of a large scale mural called, Raining Wisdom. He also participated in and donated a painting to be auctioned for charity through DIFFA Art For Life. He is looking forward to connecting more with the art community in Chicago and participating in more art shows this year. Abdoulaye is also a musician and singer-songwriter who comes from a family of West African traditional musicians and storytellers, called griots. He plays the kora, guitar, djembe, and ngoni.
