Smart Paper Cuts

Jacek Maria is a self-taught artist living currently in the Chicago area. As he states, he avoided art schools because their teaching focuses more on the ideological side of things and/or pseudo-intellectual pretenses instead of old-fashioned good craftsmanship. Talent cannot be acquired there, and the most important intellectual ability to comment on current society is completely absent. He enjoys creating and interpreting things. You will find his comments in his paintings. One-of-a-kind paper pop-ups presented are like a paper sculpture with a more practical pop-up greeting card twist. Mostly flowers but currently he is working on a first ever pop-up based line of paper Christmas ornaments. His experience involved the design of glass Christmas ornaments and so far two US patents delivering new technology.
