S. Rose Chicago

Artist Samantha Turner, better known as S.Rose Chicago , was born and raised in the south suburbs of Chicago and has always had creative talent. She earned a Bachelors degree in Studio drawing and science from Illinois State University. She is inspired to create work that reflects the beauty of modern African American culture and the city of Chicago. S.Rose has a background in restaurants as a sous chef and restaurant management positions. Currently, Samantha creates art full-time and has been experiencing increased success in monetizing her original art and creating art products. Her work has been displayed in places such as numerous Chicago art galleries, event spaces/cafes, The House of Blues, and the Chicago Federal Reserve Bank. S.Rose specializes in creating hand painted hats. She has had collaborations and features with MTV, ABC7 Chicago News, Macy's, Shops at Northbridge Mall, The Water Tower in Chicago and more.
