One of a kind wearable sculptures
Cindy is a sculptor turned jeweler and gem cutter. Before focusing completely on her studio practice, Cindy was faculty at the Maryland Institute College of Art. While no longer in academia, learning remains a vital pulse in her creative life. New skills and exploration are essential, and she often plays with combinations of metal, carved stone, fibers, ceramics, and glass. She uses process and material to explore visual and tactile beauty while also chasing the weird and absurd. As such, the studio embodies a maximalist energy, one that she seeks to distill into objects intimate and strange.
