Mexica Crafts

Gabriel is originally from Mexico City, a descendant of a Nahuatl community in the state of Puebla. The aim of his work is to produce everyday products that incorporate traditional work and reflect the natural world. Gabriel has been working with leather for over 30 years and loves what he does which is reflected in the quality of his work. Gabriel is self taught, 1st generation artisan who has subsequently shared his knowledge with his family creating a viable enterprise for all. He and his family make moccasins, boots, purses and hats as well as many other items. Gabriel s work has been evolving and constantly changing through the years although the quality and uniqueness remains excellent. His aim is to make us aware that although we live in a modern world, we belong to and live in harmony with the natural world.
