Kate Wyatt is an all-around curious creator and adventurer who specializes in watercolor botanicals and landscape paintings. Kate's botanicals are carefully composed and have alluring movement that showcase botanicals in a unique way. Drawn by hand and painted in watercolors, Kate focuses on the blocks of color that make up a plant to illustrate their beauty. From afar the paintings look realistic, however up close you see the color variations, unique shapes, and shading that make up each plant. Inspired by a pandemic hobby, Kate introduced her DIY embroidery kits with designs based off her watercolor paintings in 2022. She couldn't find tasteful and modern designs, so she created her own. Her painting style perfectly compliments these paint-by-number style kits, allowing the hobbyist to create a masterpiece of their own. Perfect for gifting or treating yourself, kits come with all you need to get started. Inspired by Kate's outdoor adventures, her landscapes capture unique color combinations with nods to mountain skylines and reflections. Each painting is ethereal and unique, evoking emotion specific to the viewer. When she isn't outside enjoying nature with her family and two dogs, Kate is inside painting (or embroidering) it. Her favorite place to visit is the mountains (Banff NP, specifically), and she loves sharing her art at markets and art shows. Kate is based in Skokie, Illinois.
