I observe. I synthesize. I (re)create. Nature is my inspiration and every piece of jewelry I handcraft celebrates it in its many guises. Whether using a raw or minimally cut gemstone, capturing the motion of a wave or the feeling of a gentle gust of wind, or carving my own sculptural iterations of flowers, pebbles, and trees, my work personalizes the outdoors and makes it wearable and intimate. I hand fabricate all of my work using traditional bench skills (cutting, forming, forging, soldering, hammering, and so on). I love carving wax models because I can create unique shapes that are cast in precious metals and incorporated into to my jewelry designs. All of my pieces are intended to be worn every day and, as such, are comfortable, effortless, and timeless by design. I work exclusively with recycled and reclaimed precious metals and strive to be as sustainable as possible. I use conflict-free diamonds, most of which are recycled, Canadian, or Australian in origin. And I hand pick all of my stones and gravitate to those with unique characteristics, such watermelon tourmalines and dendritic agates and quartzes. One-of-a-kind pieces are at the heart of my work and I am happiest when creating something with a combination of stones and materials that can't be duplicated. There is no greater joy for me than seeing my customers’ smiles when they wear my jewelry.
