Although it’s brewed hot or cold in a fashion similar to coffee or tea, ChocolaTea® isn’t coffee…or tea…or even hot chocolate. It’s in a category all its own. View detailsRooibos or Red Rooibos loose leaf tea leaves come from the Aspalathus Linearis (red bush) plant grown in South Africa. Rooibos is rich in antioxidants, is naturally caffeine-free and low in tannins (so it has no bitterness). Red Rooibos leaves are crushed, allowed to undergo natural oxidation/fermentation, then dried. They have a light, nutty, woody taste with a hint of sweetness. Our Rooibos loose leaf tea leaves are organic, Kosher, Halaal, Non-GMO and fairtrade. Green Rooibos loose leaf tea leaves are Rooibos or red Rooibos loose leaf tea leaves that are unfermented and are steamed and dried to prevent oxidation/fermentation. Green Rooibos is rich in antioxidants, is naturally caffeine-free and low in tannins (so it has no bitterness). It has a mild smooth and grassy flavor similar to traditional green tea.
