Founded in 2014 by Carla Robertson in New York City, the brand launched its iconic LIND style, which remains at the heart of each collection. The playful, geometric LIND has attracted a cult following of collectors worldwide. Carla’s fusion of vintage style and futuristic fun is expressed in every silhouette she creates. Her distinctive concepts and original approach to design inspire confidence, elegance, and relaxed self-expression.
Carla Colour has collaborated with notable creative partners, including Mona Kowalska (A Détacher), Lana Jay Lackey (Sedition Magazine), and Rachel Comey.
Carla Colour is guided by sustainability at every step of the design and production process. Limited edition collections are developed with earth-conscious materials, balancing creativity with responsibility. Carla Colour exclusively uses earth-conscious & recycled acetates. These improved formulas use plant-based ingredients from renewable sources & Eastman’s revolutionary molecular recycling technology to create the ultimate expression of sustainability in acetate eyewear. Sun lenses are made of bio nylon, reducing the carbon footprint by 50% compared to standard CR39 & nylon lenses.
Eyewear cases are crafted from the world’s first highly sustainable and environmentally friendly cactus leather. The cleaning cloth is made from 70% recycled PET & 30% recycled net, resulting in a 100% recycled material. The cardboard box is FSC certified & all colored paper is CO2 neutral & certified Cradle to Cradle Silver.
