Our journey began on a stroll through the charming streets of Paris, where inspiration met love and style. We stopped in a vintage shop and a retro handbag caught our eye. It was simple but perfect and we purchased it for our daughter, There were no labels or markings to explain its history but it had a top handle that we both admired. As we left the shop and continued our stroll memories of my grandmothers came rushing back — two iconic women who never stepped out without the perfect handbag. Their effortless elegance and timeless fashion sense became the heartbeat of our brand which we fondly named B&Dor. Our handbags are designed in Chicago and we partner with impeccable sewers in the Garment district in New York City. For our leather patterns and colors, we partner with talented leather artisans.
Each handbag we create carries that same spirit: a blend of individuality, bold design, and a touch of nostalgia. More than an accessory, our bags are companions — meant to be cherished, flaunted, and remembered. We source our leather for our pillow line from our same partners. Our pillows aren’t just accents, They are investments in style. New this season we have created a small line of fun purse candy that can be attached to your bags. We use vintage objects and lovely Czech glass buttons that we have collected over time.
