Handmade precious metal & gemstone jewelry
I found my love of art at an early age. My parents brought me to a museum in Elmhurst IL call Lizzadros Museum of Lapidary Art around the age of four. I fell in love with gemstones and all the wonderful things that could be done with them. In high school I took my first gold smithing class and I was hooked.
The materials I use in creating my art are vast. I am a classically trained goldsmith, so I fabricate and cast jewelry from .999 fine silver, .925 sterling, 18k gold, and 22k gold. I have been trained in Lapidary work as well. I have cut and polished flat slab gemstones and cabochons that have been used in my designs.
I am a self-taught beader. Techniques in beading are stringing, wire wrapping, and bead weaving. I use beads cut from natural gemstones in my designs as accents surrounding the main focal of my design.
Nature inspires all of my work. I love utilizing organic castings from nature to compliment a variety of precious and semi precious gemstones.
