I'm inspired by Montanas misty, mossy, snowy mountains, where I live and work. Its a magical life, spent traveling the many rivers and lakes. In my studio, I design and create through the long cold winters, weaving stories of fantasy, and Medieval tales, with hand-selected stones, pulled from the earth. Allison Kallaways designs are slow crafted and reflect the inspiration shes gathered from exploring the world around her. The materials themselves are selected with intention for the unique color and cut of a stone, the warmth of gold, and the steely coolness of oxidized, textured sterling silver. Allison fabricates each piece of jewelry by hand, gathering inspiration from the stones themselves. Through her uniquely calibrated aesthetic, Allison expertly juxtaposes richly colored stones and textured metal to achieve a modern industrial vibe. The result is wearable, collectible pieces that are unexpected, distinctive, and still timeless.
