StitchPrism

StitchPrism makes ceramic jewelry and ornaments, risograph art prints, vinyl stickers, and illustrated cards out of our studio in Philadelphia. Our ceramic jewelry collection is cut by hand, joined with high heat wires, glazed, kiln-fired, topped with metallic gold luster and kiln-fired again. The surface designs are made using a combination of high-fire glazes, rice paper transfers, nerikomi clay layering, gold overglaze decals, and gold luster. All metal findings are hypoallergenic, waterproof, non-tarnish, and good for sensitive skin (gold-filled and surgical steel.) Drawing inspiration from nature, plants, flowers, beloved pets, and colors, risographs designs are drawn on the ipad, converted into black and white, and printed in layers of single color on the risograph machine. We strive to use recycled paper, compostable and repurposed packaging, and ethically-sourced locally-bought raw materials. Risographs are printed in our home studio.
